Visit to Ohio!!

On Thursday, I surprised my mom and sister and flew up to Ohio for a visit.  A big fib was told to get her to cook dinner for my mom's friend's "coworkers".  My grandma picked me up from the airport and we drove over to see them.    I ran up and knocked on the door and my mom's face was priceless!  They were so shocked and excited! 

I've been having the best time since being here!  I've spent time with my mom, sister, grandparents and friends that are like family.  We've shopped, gone to some awesome restaurants, and spent wonderful time together.  We've had a blast!  I haven't forgotten about running on my trip though.  My mom is a very active person so she loves to go walk while I run.  This is a picture of my mom, grandma, and me at the park. 


Running recap:
Wednesday:  4.1 miles
Thursday (before I left for the airport):  6 miles
Friday (park with mom and grandma): 5 miles
Saturday (trail run with my sister):  4.5 miles

I can't wait to share about Saturday's trail run with my sweet sister!  There will be more on that later.  And more pictures of my trip!

    What part of Ohio are you from. I'm from right outside of Cincinnati in Northern KY. I'll be heading that way in 2 weeks for work. Last spring I did the same exact thing and surprised my mom for her 60th bday weekend. The whole drive up I kept calling her and telling her we were at the beach for the day, and then a few hours later we surprise her at her favorite restaurant. You are right, the look on their faces is priceless when you are able to pull off a surprise like that from so many miles away! Enjoy the rest of your trip!

    That's awesome! I'm in the Dayton area so not too far from where you are from. It's been a fabulous trip. The weather is amazing. Hot during the day and cool at night :)

    You have fantastic genes in your family! I honestly thought that was you with a sister and your mom - no way your mom and grandma! Hot lookin' ladies! ;)

    Did you go get yourself some of that Skyline chili? That's all I hear Ohio people talk about is the chili ... I always pass on it when I visit.
