Getting ready for the gym. Thanks for the photo Jerry! HA!
At the gym, I ran a nice easy 5 miles at an 8:34 pace. No hills and no speed work! Then I did some leg and arm machines. I'm so glad when I have a gym buddy!! Jerry threw a 6 lb weighted ball to me on a slanted bench to work my abs and obliques. I love this ab exercise because I think it's fun! I think I'm ready to increase my weight to 8 or 10 lbs because it didn't feel like a challenge anymore.
I didn't even notice that the bottom fell out of the sky while we were at the gym. It was nice to feel the cool rain after getting so sweaty!
Oh, and do you like my new tie-dye top? I do!
Post workout, I ate some Greek yogurt with honey and some Dunkin Doughnut cinnamon coffee. For dinner, we are cooking southwestern style eggs. I could eat breakfast foods all day long!
Official Disney Marathon training starts September 20 and I'm so excited! I made a calendar last night and got a little clip art crazy. It's cute though and I'm proud of it. I am so glad that Calee is doing it with me! Unfortunately, she lives in Tuscaloosa. I wish she was closer.
Leah B.
Holy smokes it was really pouring! Show me the clip art girl! :)
ReplyDeleteI am ready for fall but I don't wanna admit it. It gets so darn cold so fast. Love the tie-dye!

ReplyDeleteI am not ready for fall yet, but Dutch weather decided she is...so, it's rainy and cold now...Blah!
I'm ready for spring weather! 1 September is officially Spring Day here by me. This whole other side of the planet season thing can be confusing.
ReplyDeleteJust thought this was cool: we both read Aura's blog, we are both Leah B.'s and you have a post called "Back to life", I have one called "getting back to life". I love little coincidences like that.
ReplyDeleteYou are TOO cute!
ReplyDeleteLove your new blog layout, and new header.
It looks super great.
Sounds like you had a great great workout.

YAY for Disney,
So when do I need to be at your house so you can pack me in your bag???
You are so awesome.
ReplyDeleteYour smile makes me smile.
Cute shirt! Because I live in CA, I don't really have any seasons. Right now, it's about 97 and very little humidity.
ReplyDeletei like to run in the rain in FL cause it does feel cooler...but the crazy downpours can be a lot less fun since I knwo I'm carrying 5lbs of water in my shoes and clothes :)
ReplyDeleteThat rain looks fabulous!! *Jealous* :-)
ReplyDeleteWow Rain! Running when it is pouring like that is tough! Good choice on the gym!
ReplyDeletecool spell hit here...only 79 degrees....great job on all the hard work, Leah! I've been walking daily, but no running for your mother! I sure do miss you!
ReplyDeleteGood call going to the gym. I enjoy running in the summer, but these days have been brutal around here. I am looking forward to and am quite ready for fall weather! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI used to live in Alabama (Madison), I can remember all too well the heat/humidity. Great job getting the run in with that weather!!
ReplyDeleteReady for Fall for sure...leaves turning and college football season. I remember the really hot humid days down south (and headed to Florida in a week or so), so I better get ready.
ReplyDeleteI'm not ready for fall as I love summer so much.... mainly because I don't work in the summer. I'm ready for SPRING! But, gosh it's been so HOT here in Alabama! Have a great night!
